Alex C Fan      

Alex C. Fan oversees the advisory activities for all transactions. Mr.  Fan has had extensive experience in accounting, M&A, raising growth  capital, and management consulting across various industries. He has  represented both buyers and sellers in numerous transactions between  North American/European and Asian companies. In 2010, Mr. Fan led Beijing-based  Pacific Century Motors, a public-private acquisition consortium, in the  acquisition of "Nexteer", the steering division of General Motors for US  $480 million. This followed the 2009 US $90 million acquisition of  Delphi Corporation’s brake and suspension unit by a similar acquisition  consortium. The "Nexteer" transaction represented the largest overseas  acquisition made by a Chinese company in the automotive parts industry at that time.

Prior to forming Crestridge Consulting, Mr. Fan was a partner at Chen and Fan, aCalifornia’s pre-eminent accountancy corporation  targeting Chinese businesses. As a partner, he led the company’s audit  practice and maintained a client base that included banks,  manufacturers, technology companies, and real estate developers. He also  provided accounting advisory to many of the largest public and private  companies in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Prior to joining the accountancy corporation in 1990, Mr. Fan held  senior positions at banks as well as at Deloitte, Haskin, and Sells, now  Deloitte and Touche.

Mr. Fan earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of  Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National Taiwan University. He is  a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.,  Mr. Fan currently  serves on the Board of Directors of New Omni Bank, a Los Angeles  community bank, as Chairman of Board Audit Committee. He also serves as Audit Committee Chairman as Airmate Electric, a public traded company on Taipei Stock Exhange.  

Bill Yu
Managing Director

Mr. Yu shares responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, and structuring transactions. His experience working with companies in China affords Crestridge a keen understanding of the needs of its clients.

Prior to joining Crestridge Consulting, Mr. Yu worked as financial analyst then senior financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors, Inc. He provided management consulting and financial advisory services to companies of all sizes in the US. In this capacity, Mr. Yu’s focus has been on helping companies in China deploy resources in the US and in helping US-based companies recognize strategic opportunities in China.

Before pursuing his MBA degree in United States, Mr. Yu worked as general manager assistant and project manager in Pin An Life Insurance Company, the leading life insurance company in China. His clients included public and private companies in China and Hong Kong such as Shengzheng Energy Co., Shum Yip Group, and Yantian Port Group.

Mr. Yu earned a Master in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wuhan University, China.

Helen Koo, Asia Pacific CEO of Crestridge Consulting, a fully owned subsidiary of the Los Angeles based Chen & Fan Accountancy, the largest Chinese owned accounting firm in the U.S. operating since 1972. Crestridge Consulting has been providing Sino-U.S. cross border investments, mergers and acquisitions services to China listed companies since 2003. Helen relocated from Los Angeles to Shanghai in 2008 and has been in charge of the China market for Crestridge Consulting. Prior to relocating to Shanghai, Helen worked as Vice President in Los Angeles for leading financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch and Coutts, the world’s oldest private bank currently under Royal Bank of Scotland. Her experiences in the U.S. financial services arena spanned over 20 years and covered the areas of commercial banking, private banking, and asset management. Helen was in particular valuable to many Chinese owned businesses in the U.S. with her bilingual and bi-culture background. Since 1986, among her clients were some of the most well-known China companies and families. Helen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Kean University in New Jersey. She also received her MBA degree in Finance from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
